Carey Fitzgerald

With credits ranging from MONTY PYTHON’S LIFE OF BRIAN and THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW to the multi-platform actioner, APP and the darkly sexy, noirish thriller mini-series, SILENT HOURS, starring Indira Varma and Oscar nominee, Hugh Bonneville, Carey Fitzgerald has worked in all areas of the Film and TV business from production to advertising to global sales, financing and distribution.

She began her career in production working with a range of producers including Michael White and John Goldstone and then advertising, managing such clients as 20th Century Fox, Cannon Films and Entertainment Film Distributors. She went on to run a number of London based Worldwide Film & TV companies including Gavin Films, Liberty Films and Perfect Features and has worked with some of the world’s leading film makers, including Peter Jackson and Terry Gilliam. Among some of the British classics Carey has handled are THE SHOOTING PARTY, SID AND NANCY and PERSONAL SERVICES.

Over the years, Carey has enjoyed film Oscar and Cannes Festival nominations, while for television she has played a pivotal role in putting together a number of productions, including over twenty five BBC prime time movies, with cast that includes Naomi Watts, James McAvoy, Imelda Staunton and Rufus Sewell. 

Carey is routinely invited as a guest tutor or mentor to some of the most highly regarded seminars and film schools around the world such as the International School of Film and TV Cuba, The Media Business School, The Galway Film Fleadh, Ficci Frames Mumbai and The London Film School. She also gives master classes to The Film Distributors Association, Women in Film & TV, Northern Screen and Sunderland University and is a regular panellist on behalf BAFTA and Film London.
