From Visconti’s The Leopard and Fellini’s 8 ½ to the pioneering cult films of Dario Argento and Mario Bava, Ronald de Neef started his career during the heyday of Italian cinema and, having run several worldwide distribution companies across Rome, LA & London, handling such classics as Robert Aldrich’s The Choirboys & Alejandro Jodorowski’s Santa Sangre, has become one of the most widely respected names in the international film industry.

Ronald is Managing Director of Starline Entertainment, the London based, Film, TV and Digital, Worldwide Sales, Financing and Production Company.

Working with a range of film and TV companies, including the Hong Kong based Arthur Davis Organisation, PAC Films & Titanus in Rome and Blue Star in LA, he was responsible for the international sales and later production of a slate of films from Italian legend Dario Argento, including Phenomena & Tenebrae. After that he went on to form The Film Company at which time he relaunched George A. Romero’s cult classic Zombie Dawn Of The Dead and pre-sold worldwide Stephen King’s The Night Flier to name but a few. Later, Ronald struck an exclusive output deal with legendary music impresario, Chris Blackwell and his production powerhouse, Palm Pictures, internationally distributing such films as Third World Cop, Thicker Than Water & the digitally remastered, Talking Heads concert classic Stop Making Sense, directed by Jonathan Demme.

Throughout his long career, Ronald has built up a substantial catalogue of titles, enjoying Oscar Nominations, as well as Cannes selections with such internationally successful films as Twin Sisters and Cameraman; The Life And Work Of Jack Cardiff.

Ronald is a frequent contributor to workshops and panels all over the world, including the Holland Film Meeting in Utrecht and Torino Film Lab. He established & produced a master class on sales & distribution for the Vina del Mar Film Festival in Chile, for which he has also sat on the jury.
