We Can Be Heroes
Starring: Alison Steadman (Gavin and Stacey, Orphan Black) and Phil Davis (Poldark, Mr Holmes).
11-year-old Ben never really knew his dad. After all, he was only a baby when he lost him in the 9/11 attacks. But this film isn’t really about that.
It’s about the summer he spends at his grandparents; about how he makes friends with Priti (11), the super-smart, know-it-all next door, and how, along with his sulky 12 year old cousin, Jed, they believe they are on the edge of cracking a major terrorist plot, sparking a life-changing adventure none of them will ever forget.
Ultimately, “We Can Be Heroes” is a heart-warming, timely film for the whole family, all about the power of friendship, love and the amazing things that can happen when communities work together. Adapted from Catherine Bruton’s much loved children’s book, published worldwide by Egmont.
